Sculpture onshore

Kia ora bloggers, Last week Tuesday we went on a trip to sculptereum matakana, it was the New Zealand biggest sculpture show. We went on the bus and did singing and playing hand games. We arrived at our destination and the first thing I could see was sculptures. We got into groups and split up into places, we went to this place called faraway and we saw different types of materials that people made with their two bare hands that is amazing!. Here are some photos we had inspired by.

The legend of the Tokamotu

Kia ora bloggers, so sorry for the late posts this week, during the week for reading and writing  we were learning to narrate a story about what happened to the almighty Tokamotu. We had to use descriptive words, more detail and a sequence of evidence. After the writing we had to make an animation about the Tokamotu. Here is my animation.

What I found challenging was duplicating slides it had to take me days to do this work and now I am finished I did 171 slides.I enjoyed writing about the legend of the Tokamotu.

Te reo Maori

Kia ora koutou bloggers, Today Auckland girls grammer came to perform about Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. We were cheering and all excited to see them perform. They had 4 items, at the end of the performance we got the token box and we had to choose five winner of the MLW. Here are some photos of A.G.G.S performing. Hei kona

Kia ora bloggers, last week Thursday & Friday our school had assemblies to perform about Tongan language week & to perform infront of 2 famous actors / models.

One of the models came on Thursday and one came on Friday, we were all excited to see the actors, His name was Jp, an actor who has been in two movies that have been famous this year & on Friday her name was Diamond Langi who has also been into two movies and she has been famous for years. They came to talk about life and advice. Then the Tongan boys & girls group came up on stage to perform. here are some photos we did on Tongan language week.

Wharenui – Te reo

Kia Ora bloggers, this week was Te wiki o Te Reo Maori our class got given a task to make a Wharenui by making it by paper or digital. WALT say the parts of a wharenuiin Te reo, We also had to ask and answer in Te Reo, “He aha tenei / tena” ” what is this? / that”.

A wharenui is a Maori meeting house, Have you been inside of a Wharenui? I decided to do a digital one, then we had to label what the wharenui are. Here is my work.

What I found challenging was tracing the image to a polyline. I enjoyed doing Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori.

💥Motat💥

Kia Ora bloggers, Today our class had an event about Motat in our school.

First we lined up in front of our class and made our way down to the hall, we all remembered to show our school values around other people, we entered the hall and sat down in the middle, Then 2 Motat representatives came and explained to us what motat was about their names were Jazmine and Aiden, then we splitted into 3 groups 5 and we had to find out how the marble will start and finish to the end by using string, pin, card bored, tape, clippers, scissors, sticks and cups.

Then Aiden asked us “what are some simple machines we can use?”

  • Pulley
  • Wedge
  • Incline plane
  • Wheel axel
  • Lever
  • Screw

Here are some photos of us working together as a team. What I found challenging was always testing and testing until we got it right in place, I enjoyed working together and communicating with others. My favourite Simple machine was the pulley, Have you ever been to Motat? comment down below

🎭Performing arts🎨

Kia Ora bloggers, Today our tech teacher ‘ Mrs Botica ‘ gave us an independent assignment to do while she is away. We had to watch an interview / video about ( Joshua Jones) a professional musician. after watching the video we had to make a google doc and write paragraphs telling her where they grew up, who they are and  what instrument they play. After finishing my work we had to read about Ukalele facts and find 3 of the most interesting facts. Have you ever played an instrument?

✉Smart Emails📩

Kia Ora bloggers, Today’s session was cybersmart.

We were learning how to write smart emails, in an email we need to be respectful in a communication. Then we hopped on our class site and went on Cybersmart, clicked on the task and we had to do a (pick a path or smart emails) But I did both and I worked with my friends on the pick a path.

What I found challenging was making a pick a path with my friends. I enjoyed doing the smart emails.

🥐Lunchy talk🥘

Kia Ora bloggers, today After break 1 a group of people / volontiers were talking about (Lunchy). Lunchy is a group of people that provides free lunch for our school.

I learnt that Carbohydrates give us energy to learn and to move quicker. It was so fun, we got put into a group and we answered all of the questions, then whoever had the most points will win a prize. My favourite lunch was the lasagne.

🌴Cook island language week🌴

Kia Ora bloggers, this week we did cook island language week activities, first we went on our class site, next we had to finish off our other cook island digital fact file, then we got given another activity to do which was on our class site, we had to make a copy of it and answer questions about the Cook Island. Here is my work.

What I found challenging  was  matching the puzzles together to get a perfect cook island flag. I enjoyed dragging the words in the missing gap. I really enjoyed cook Island language week. Have a good day😁
